Abstract:
Airborne avionics equipment must withstand severe vibration environments composed of complex alternating loads. Strength simulation adopted in the design phase enables early prediction of potential risks and further optimization of structural layout. In this paper, ANSYS Workbench is employed to carry out strength simulation analysis for a certain airborne avionics device, and the response results of each part of the equipment under functional-vibration and endurance-vibration excitations are obtained. The results show that the minimum residual strength factors of structural components and printed circuit board assemblies under functional-vibration conditions are 1.70 and 1.65 respectively, which satisfy the design requirements for functional vibration. The maximum stress response of the snap ring under endurance-vibration conditions exceeds the fatigue limit of 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb stainless steel, indicating a risk of fatigue failure. It fails to meet safe-service conditions, and structural improvement design is therefore required.
