轴承润滑脂膜厚与疲劳寿命的相关性研究

Study on the Correlation between the Grease Film Thickness and Fatigue Life of Bearings

  • 摘要: 采用油膜厚度测量仪和轴承寿命强化试验机对不同稠度、不同基础油黏度和不同基础油种类的润滑脂进行了油膜厚度和轴承疲劳寿命实验,并建立了二者的关联性。结果表明:润滑脂的稠度越大,接触区脂的有效粘度越大,脂的膜厚越大。同种类基础油,粘度越大,膜厚越大。粘度相同的PAO油、酯类油和矿物油的粘压系数依次增大,导致以PAO油、酯类油和矿物油为基础油的润滑脂膜厚依次增大。润滑脂成膜能力越差,轴承的疲劳寿命越短。疲劳寿命和膜厚之间的关系可用指数函数来描述。为润滑脂的性能优化及其在轴承应用中的选型提供了理论依据,所构建的膜厚-疲劳寿命关联模型对工业轴承系统的可靠性评估与寿命预测具有重要工程指导价值,并为未来相关领域的深入研究提供了新的思路和方向。

     

    Abstract: The film thickness and bearing fatigue life of lubricating grease with different consistencies, base oil viscosities and base oil types were tested by the oil film thickness measuring instrument and bearing life strengthening testing machine, and the correlation between them was established. The results show that higher consistency of the lubricating grease corresponds to increased effective viscosity in the contact zone, leading to a thicker grease film. For the same kind of base oil, the greater the viscosity is, the greater the film thickness is. The viscosity-pressure coefficient of PAO oil, ester oil, and mineral oil with the same viscosity increases successively, resulting in a progressive increase in the thickness of the grease film when utilizing PAO oil, ester oil, and mineral oil as base oils. The worse the film forming capacity of lubricating grease, the shorter the fatigue life of bearing. The relationship between fatigue life and film thickness can be described as an exponential function. This study provides a theoretical basis for optimizing the performance of lubricating greases and their selection for bearing applications. The established correlation model between film thickness and fatigue life offers significant engineering guidance for the reliability assessment and service life prediction of industrial bearing systems. Furthermore, it provides new insights and directions for future research in related fields.
