Abstract:
The handling of coiled materials is currently widespread in industries such as apparel, paper, textiles, medical, and new energy. In traditional coiled material handling, operations mainly rely on manual handling with simple equipment, which presents problems such as difficulty in manual operation, high labor intensity, and low operational efficiency. This paper addresses the technical challenges in the coiled material handling process and proposes a design scheme for an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) for coil handling. The specific application scenarios and design requirements of the AGV are identified, and the structural and dynamic characteristics of the AGV for handling heavy coils are analyzed. This type of AGV can achieve automated loading and transport of coils to storage warehouses or production equipment. The proposed design scheme can improve handling efficiency, reduce manual labor intensity, and save labor costs.
