Abstract:
In this paper, we reference fatigue life analysis methods for similar shafts and, based on the principles of virtual work and the Von Mises yield criterion, establish a 3D model of the drive shaft that fully considers working conditions and other factors. This model is then imported into ANSYS Workbench to analyze its static stress-strain characteristics. Taking into account factors such as part size coefficients, surface finish quality coefficients, and local stress concentration coefficients, we establish an S-N curve for the fatigue of the drive shaft based on existing relevant theories. Using multi-axis fatigue analysis methods, the fatigue life of the drive shaft is obtained, which is consistent with theoretical analysis results, validating the rationality of the theory. This provides a foundation for the precise design and analysis of similar components in the future, offering practical guidance.
