直流输电换流阀EPDM密封垫可靠性研究

Research on the Reliability of EPDM Sealing Gaskets for HVDC Converter Valves

  • 摘要: 文章以EPDM橡胶为基体,制备了不同配方和硫化工艺的EPDM密封垫产品,并对其电性能、力学性能进行了测试。同时,开展了EPDM密封垫可靠性的研究,设计出一种电腐蚀加速老化试验系统,等效模拟直流输电换流阀EPDM密封垫真实的老化环境,并探讨了橡胶腐蚀老化的机理。试验结果表明:直流输电换流阀去离子冷却水中的漏电流会腐蚀密封垫基材表面,使分子链中硫元素被电离;在长时间作用下,橡胶逐渐老化;在高速水流的持续冲刷作用下造成橡胶进一步腐蚀与降解,最终老化失效。然而,具有低导电性、高密度的硫-硫键维持网络以及漏电流释放电极都能有效提高EPDM密封垫耐电腐蚀水平,减缓老化并且延长使用年限。

     

    Abstract: The EPDM sealing gasket products with different formulations and vulcanization processes are prepared by using EPDM rubber as the matrix, and their electrical and mechanical properties are tested. Research on the reliability of EPDM sealing gaskets is simultaneously conducted; an electrical corrosion accelerated aging test system is designed to simulate the real aging environment of EPDM sealing gaskets for DC transmission converter valves; and the mechanism of rubber corrosion aging is explored. The experimental results show that the leakage current in the deionized cooling water of the DC transmission converter valve will corrode the surface of the sealing gasket substrate, ionize the sulfur element in the molecular chain, and gradually age the rubber under long-term action. The continuous erosion by high-speed water flow causes further corrosion and degradation of the rubber, ultimately leading to aging failure; low conductivity, high density sulfur-sulfur bond maintenance network, and leakage current release electrode can effectively improve the electrical corrosion resistance level of EPDM sealing gaskets, slow down aging, and extend their service life.
