Design Process of a Hydraulic Mud Gun Heat Insulation Connector

  • The connector is the key part of hydraulic mud gun; it works just above the iron flow ditch of the blast furnace, only 100mm away from the iron flow ditch. Due to the long time of high temperature radiation, segregation and rapid drying of the internal mud occurs, the mud hard shell is then formed, resulting in blockage of the iron outlet, and the blast furnace will be forced to stop. In order to solve this problem, the connector is designed into a conical tube structure, the conical tube wall is hollow, the hollow body is equipped with reinforcing bars, and the insulation material is filled with the hollow body, then the cover plate is pressed and welded. It not only improves the heat insulation effect, anti-aging, high temperature resistance, but also applies to various series of hydraulic mud cannon, the highest temperature resistance can reach 1 000 ℃. It solves the problems of hardening, coking and compaction of the shot mud inside the connector during the plugging process of hydraulic mud gun. Instead of the long-term use of external winding water pipe and external heat insulation plate for a long time, it improves the stability, safety and reliability of long-term operation of the hydraulic mud gun.
