Analysis on Leakage Mechanism of Aviation Flared Pipe Joints and Research on Emergency Repair Process

  • Aviation flare conduit is mainly used in the aircraft hydraulic system, fuel system, pneumatic system, etc., it is the main carrier of gas and liquid transportation on aircraft. The catheter will experience high temperature, high cold, high pressure and frequent pressure changes, often accompanied by vibration, bending, impact and other external environments, and will often leak in the pipe joint parts. In this paper, the leakage mechanism of flared catheter joints is analyzed to address the leakage problem of aviation flared catheters; and a composite overall emergency repair method using self-fusing silicone rubber tape to form a sealing layer internally and fiber-reinforced composite reinforcement externally is proposed. Then the reliability of the method is verified through experiments, which provides a certain reference value for solving the leakage problem of high-pressure catheters in the aviation industry.
