A Method for Generating Tool Path in CNC Machine Tool Processing based on Multipoint Contact

  • In response to the problem of poor performance in traditional trajectory generation methods, a multipoint contact-based tool path generation method for CNC machine tool machining is proposed in this paper. Based on the basic principle of generating tool path for multi-point contact machining, the geometric transformation of multi-point contact machining is determined, and the B-spline interpolation method is introduced to generate tool path for the CNC machine tool machining. The experimental results show that using the improved method can effectively reduce the error situation, with a large number of cutting points and good results, which has certain advantages.
