Research Status and Key Technologies of Flying Vehicles

  • As a new type of vehicle that integrates automotive and aviation disciplines, the flying vehicles enjoy enormous prospects of research. In this paper, the research status of flying vehicles is introduced in the following two aspects: one focuses on the advancement of various types of flying vehicles such as the fixed-wing type, the tilt-rotor type, and the ducted fan type; and the other one explores the recent design of new models both at home and abroad. The key technologies discussed in this paper include the power batteries, energy saving and flying control. Finally, future development trends and advices for flying vehicles with regard to efficient dynamics, energy saving, automatic intelligence and standard series are explored.
