Research on Laser Preparation Process of Mixed Micro-Texture of Coated Tools with Round Hole and Straight Groove

  • In this paper, the influence of laser process parameters on the surface morphology, geometric size and surface composition of hybrid textures are studied aiming at the problem of poor laser preparation quality of tool micro-textures. The results show that the more reasonable laser parameters are processing times N=6, scanning speed v=10 mm/s, laser power P=20 W, and laser frequency f=120 kHz for the preparation of surface circular holes and straight grooves mixed microstructures on the coating tool. The structure on the bottom and side wall of the textured coating tool is mainly composed of oxides, and under the condition of selecting reasonable laser parameters, the coating outside the tool surface texture can not be damaged. It is found that control of the texture width and depth is the key to preparation of the micro-textured tool through research on the hybrid micro-textured laser preparation process of the coated tool. The rules obtained in this paper provide a reference for improving the quality of tool texture.
