Ride Comfort Analysis of Two Types of Electric Vehicles under Compound Excitations

  • In order to compare and analyze the ride comfort of vehicles driven by the centralized motor and in-wheel motor under the combined action of different road excitation and vertical electromagnetic excitation force of motor, the 1/2 and 4-DOF vehicle models driven by centralized motor and in-wheel motor are established. Considering a variety of road excitation and electromagnetic vertical excitation forces, the influence laws of two driving forms of electric vehicles on vehicle ride comfort are simulated from time domain and frequency domain by using the time domain diagram and PSD method. The research results show that the grounding and ride comfort of the vehicle driven by the in-wheel motor are relatively poor, so it is necessary to further study the mounting configuration of the motor in the wheel to meet the requirements of reasonable lightweight.
