Optimization of Rapid Investment Casting Process for Gas Turbine Blades

  • In response to the problems of long time and high cost caused by repeated experiments in determining the mold size in traditional investment casting technology, a study is conducted on achieving rapid investment casting of 3D printed blades. Using ABS printing for gas turbine blades, adhesive wax casting system is used to form an investment mold; after 5 layers of sand coating, the lost wax and roasted casting shell is poured with metal to obtain the blade casting. In response to the cracking of the mold shell during the production process, a deformation coordination equation is established, and finite element software is used to analyze the stress and other stress cloud maps of the casting and mold shell. Optimization measures are proposed, and high-quality castings are obtained.
