Technological Optimization Simulation of Connecting Rod

  • To ensure the machining accuracy and stiffness of the connecting rod during use, optimizing the structure of the connecting rod blank, selecting reasonable coarse and fine benchmarks, and improving the processability of the connecting rod are the key measures. Based on research and application of modern manufacturing technology and processing technology, the small end transition arc's size and the positioning slot's structure of the connecting rod are optimized to improve the connecting rod process. The VERICUT software is used to simulate and optimize the processing path, processing parameters and tool length of connecting rod. Under the premise of setting a safe distance, the optimal tool lengthis obtained; then finding a balance point between tool length and interference thus it could further improve the machining process of connecting rods.
