Process Selection and Structural Design in New Product Development

  • In the market competition, the quality, cost and production cycle of new products are decisive factors, which are determined by the molding process selection. This paper compares the production process of the new product structure development, analyzes the economic production batch and advantages and disadvantages of each process, and provides suggestions for the process selection. Model verification can use the 3D printing, silicone molding process, CNC and other processes to quickly produce the prototype samples; as for the formal product, CNC process, RIM glass fiber reinforced plastic, SMC glass fiber reinforced plastic, soft steel molding injection, hard steel molding injection and other processes can be selected in turn according to the batch from small batch to large batch. Through this comparative analysis, it provides reference for enterprises and research institutions in the process selection and structural design of new product development.
