Design and Application of a New Cleaning and Lubrication Device for the Bottom Belt Conveyor Chain of a Storage Tank

  • In order to ensure the smooth operation of the bottom belt chain of the storage tank, it is necessary to regularly lubricate its chain links. However, the existing lubrication methods consume a lot of manpower and time, and have high safety hazards. Moreover, the bottom belt components are prone to wear and tear. The design of automatic control cleaning and lubrication components enables regular cleaning and lubrication of the conveyor chain. Then, two key process parameters, air pressure value and single joint refueling amount, are tested and tested, and the optimal values are determined to be 0.12 MPa and 0.5 mL respectively so as to ensure that the cleanliness and lubrication meet the working conditions. After adopting the new cleaning and lubrication device for the bottom belt conveyor chain of the storage tank, the average consumption of lubricating oil is decreased by 41.5%, the average manual operation time is decreased by 96.1%, and the lubrication cycle is extended from 1 month to 3 months, achieving the cleaning and lubrication of the bottom belt conveyor chain of the storage tank. This technology can provide support for improving the lubrication efficiency of the storage tank bottom chain and reducing production consumption.
