Optimization of PE Film Paper Cutting Process Parameters based on Orthogonal Test

  • In order to improve the section quality of PE coated paper in punching process, three process parameters, including punching speed, punching gap, and beveled edge inclination, are selected as influencing factors, and paper burr height is selected as the evaluation index, the process parameters are analyzed by orthogonal test. The result shows that the influence of the blanking process parameters on the paper burr height is as follows: punching gap > punching speed > beveled edge inclination. The change of punching speed is negatively correlated with the change of paper burr height; while the change of beveled edge inclination and the punching gap is positively correlated with the change of the paper burr height. The research concludes that the optimal blanking process parameter combination is: punching speed is 220 n·min-1, beveled edge inclination is 0.35°, machining gap is 20 μm. The results of this experimental study have important reference value for improving the section quality and production efficiency of PE film paper, reducing the processing cost of products, and have certain practical and economic value in the actual production.
