Research on Key Structural Characteristics of Coal Mine Cantilever Type Roadheader

  • The cutting performance of cantilever roadheader affects the energy consumption and efficiency of coal mine roadway excavation. Taking the cantilever roadheader of Huayang Zhiming Xinjing Company as the engineering background, numerical simulation is used to study the effects of cutting depth of the cutting head of the cantilever roadheader, rotational speed and subsequent cutting distance on the cutting performance. The study concludes that the cutting performance is best when the cutting depth is 1/2 to 2/3 of the cutting head length; the cutting performance is more sensitive to the cutting depth than the cutting speed in terms of energy consumption; and the cutting performance index tends to be stable until the subsequent cutting distance exceeds the cutting head diameter. The results of the study can provide reference for the optimal design of cantilever type roadheader structure.
