Research and Analysis on Laser Welding Application of Aluminum Alloy (AL6063-AL6063)

  • In the traditional welding of aluminum alloy, there are large deformation and low production efficiency, which will cause the reduction of overall mechanical structural strength and mechanical stiffness. In view of these problems, through the research and analysis on new different laser welding schemes of aluminum alloy (AL6063-AL6063): laser butt welding, laser penetration welding, laser wire filling welding (Butt-Joint and V-Joint), and metallographic analysis of the weld quality of laser welded joints, a better laser welding technology scheme without welding microcracks and porosity groups is obtained in this article. Through the numerical analysis and fatigue life numerical simulation analysis of the laser welding technology scheme, it is confirmed that the laser welding technology scheme is suitable for aluminum alloy (AL6063-AL6063) welding in the field of machinery manufacturing. Finally, it is proven through the fatigue life test of the welding sample that the laser welding technology has relatively high stability, feasibility and reliability to a certain extent, and the results have important reference value for the wide promotion and application of aluminum alloy (AL6063-AL6063) laser welding in the field of lightweight design of machinery manufacturing.
