Machining Analysis of Cobalt-Based High Temperature Alloy

  • High temperature alloy material has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high hardness, poor thermal conductivity, and so on. In this paper, targeting the problem of frequent tool replacement due to tool wear during processing, an analysis was conducted on tool material, cooling method, cutting parameters, tool geometric parameters, and the design of slot processing program, and multiple cutting tests were also carried out. Using the AlCrN coating and cutting oil as the coolant, through the methods of optimizing the cutting parameters and geometric angles, and innovative grooving processing, the tool life is increased by 30%, the processing efficiency is increased by 20%. It would provide the related references for turning the similar materials with high hardness and high temperature resistance.
