Simulation Analysis of Bearing Selection for Low-Speed Electric Vehicle Reducer

  • In order to enhance the reliability of bearings in electric vehicle reducers during operation and eliminate design flaws in bearing selection, in this paper, targeting the failure issues of bearings in low-speed electric vehicle reducers, service life of different types of input shaft bearings in reducers is compared and analyzed. Following the operational characteristics of the reducer and bearing selection elements, the relationship between service life of the input shaft bearings and load requirements is analyzed. By applying the Romax software, an integrated life analysis on both ball bearings and angular contact ball bearings within the transmission system is conducted. The analysis shows that under the condition of bearing fatigue load spectrum, angular contact ball bearings of the same size better conform to the design requirements; it provides a basis for the design and selection of reducer bearings.
