Optimization and Application of Wear Resistance of Middle Groove Plate in Scraper Conveyor based on Ansys

  • Taking the SGZ type scraper conveyor commonly used in coal mines as the research object, after analyzing its main structure and working principle, it is pointed out that the intermediate groove structure is prone to wear and failure during actual operation. Therefore, this article uses SolidWorks and Ansys software to build a finite element model of the middle groove structure of a scraper conveyor, and analyzes its contact friction stress. The results show that excessive and uneven distribution of contact friction stress are the main factors causing wear of the middle groove. By applying concave holes on the surface of the intermediate groove, the structure is optimized to reduce the maximum contact stress. The application effect shows that the optimized intermediate groove structure deployed in the engineering practice of SGZ scraper conveyor can effectively improve the maximum transportation capacity of the equipment.
