Cause Analysis of Tower Fracture of Ultra-High Voltage Transmission Line

During the operation of an UHV transmission circuit, one of the towers was damaged and fractured. Based on the macroscopic examination, fracture analysis, material analysis, mechanical properties test and metallographic examination, this paper deeply analyzes the fracture reason and process, and puts forward the technical elements in the later replacement and reinforcement measures in combination with the measured materials and mechanical properties of the tower, which has reference significance for treatment of the similar problems.
