Design and Application of Industrial Slag Retrieving Robot in Medium Frequency Furnace

  • To achieve automation of slag removal in medium-frequency furnaces, this paper studies and designs a slag-removal workstation control system based on industrial robots, taking into account actual slag-removal operations. Centered on the industrial robot within the control system, the hardware and software of the workstation were designed. Based on this, a slag-removal robot workstation was constructed in accordance with on-site production conditions. Test results show that the workstation can automatically perform slag-cleaning tasks for medium-frequency furnaces. The system operates smoothly, with stable working speed, effectively replacing manual slag removal, significantly reducing labor intensity, and realizing automation of slag cleaning in medium-frequency furnaces.
