Process Method of Stainless Steel Piston Ring for Power Plant Steam Turbine

  • This paper takes a large thin-walled circular ring workpiece made of 06Cr19Ni10 stainless steel as the research object. Due to the fact that the radial dimension of this type of workpiece is much larger than its axial dimension, warping deformation is prone to occur during machining, resulting in excessive deviations in accuracy indices such as face runout on both sides and surface roughness. Meanwhile, the Z-shaped matching surface feature makes it difficult to guarantee precise dimensional and geometrical tolerances even when the mating clearance meets the requirements.To address these issues, combined with the material characteristics of stainless steel and the structural features of the workpiece, a corresponding combined fixture and machining process route are designed. Practical results show that the proposed combined fixture and machining process can effectively ensure machining accuracy, providing good reference value and applicability for the machining and production of similar parts.
