Strength Analysis of the Structural Connection Bolts between Platform Screen Doors and Civil Engineering Structures

Abstract
Subway platform screen doors for metro are critical safety facilities in rail transit systems. Their main function is to physically separate the track area from the public waiting area, so as to ensure passenger safety while keeping the platform environment clean. Accordingly, the reliability of connection joints between the platform screen door system and civil structures is extremely important. Taking a typical project as the research object, this paper systematically illustrates the layout and force transfer mechanism of connecting bolts between platform screen doors and civil structures. Considering the superposition of multiple loads including wind load, train piston effect, crowd load and self-weight, strength calculation and mechanical analysis are carried out for the key connecting bolts at the top and bottom of the platform screen doors. The research results can provide theoretical basis and engineering reference for the design, installation and inspection of platform screen doors.
