Structural Design and Analysis of a Throttle Lever with Adjustable Damping

  • To address the issue that traditional throttle levers, with their fixed damping, cannot accommodate different pilots' preferences for haptic force, this paper designs a throttle lever with a steplessly adjustable damping force. Through the integrated design of the operating handle, motion mechanism, and damping adjustment module, three core functions are achieved: stable detent at any position within the full throttle stroke, multi-gear stroke switching, and linear adjustment of damping force. The finite element method is employed to conduct static analysis on key components such as the roller elastic bracket and damping mechanism pressure rod, verifying the reliability of the structural design. Prototype testing demonstrates that the throttle lever can achieve smooth, continuous, and linear adjustment of the operating damping force via a panel knob, with a stable adjustment process and self-locking retention capability, significantly enhancing the human-machine adaptability and operational comfort of the control device.
