Machining Process and Optimization of Crust Breaking Hammer Rod for Electrolytic Cell

  • The crust breaking hammer rod is classified as a thin-walled part. Owing to insufficient rigidity during turning, it suffers from difficult positioning and alignment as well as easy deformation during clamping, resulting in low machining efficiency and poor product qualification rate. This paper analyzes and optimizes the machining process of the crust breaking hammer rod, and designs special fixtures and cutting tools adapted to its NC cutting process. The proposed measures effectively improve the NC machining efficiency and qualification rate of the part, and can provide technical references for the machining of similar thin-walled parts.
