Structural Design and Analysis of an Adjustable Foot Pedal Controller
-
Abstract
Aiming at the ergonomic deficiencies of current foot pedal controllers, this paper focuses on enhancing the control comfort and accuracy for different pilots during long-duration, high-load missions. In terms of structural design, an innovative foot pedal controller integrating yaw control, brake control, stepless adjustment of yaw operation force, and multi-gear adjustment of pedal length is proposed, with detailed elaboration on the design and calculation of its core mechanisms. Using a combination of finite element simulation analysis and physical prototype testing, the feasibility of the design was verified. The results show that the product’s structural design is reliable, and all performance indicators meet the predetermined design requirements.
