Design and Experiment of 9ZR20 Corn Husk Cutting and Rubbing Crusher

  • Aiming at the problems of high-toughness corn husks prone to winding and blockage, poor crushing uniformity of conventional straw crushers, and low resource-utilization efficiency of corn by-products, a special chopping-rubbing crusher Model 9ZR20 for corn husks was developed in this paper. According to the material characteristics of corn husks, the whole-machine structure was optimized. A toothed chain-plate forced-feeding mechanism was adopted to replace the conventional roller-type feeding structure, and a gradient crushing unit combining chopping and rubbing was constructed. The whole machine adopts distributed independent-motor driving and is equipped with a PLC closed-loop anti-blocking control system with frequency-conversion self-adaptation. The design and key parameters of six core modules including material conveying, feeding, crushing, transmission and electric control were introduced, and prototype tests were carried out. The test results show that the feeding pass rate reaches 100 % at the maximum feeding thickness of 200 mm. For corn husks with moisture content of 9%−11%, the proportion of crushed materials with length ≤10 mm is 96.81 %, and no winding or blockage occurs during operation. This machine can realize continuous and stable fine crushing of corn husks, and provides theoretical and engineering references for the development of special equipment for resource utilization of corn by-products.
