Design and Research of Micro-vibration Detection System based on PVDF Piezoelectric Film

  • Micrometer-level periodic vibrations in aircraft skins can easily lead to functional failures. To address the need for detecting such small vibration displacements, this paper proposes a micro-vibration detection system based on PVDF piezoelectric thin films. By using a vibration excitation device to drive an aluminum plate to produce periodic vibrations, the strain signals from the PVDF sensors attached to the skin surface are detected, enabling the identification of micrometer-level displacements. Results show that the output voltage-displacement relationship of the PVDF sensor exhibits linear correlation within the range of 0.42 μm to 42 μm (R2=0.99). Compared to traditional detection methods such as laser vibrometers, this approach maintains micrometer-level precision while offering the advantage of curved surface adhesion, validating its applicability in micro-vibration monitoring.
