Structural Fatigue Strength Analysis and Experimental Research for Frame of Electric Three-Wheeled Sanitation Vehicle

  • Electric three wheeled sanitation vehicles have been widely used in municipal cleaning, garden maintenance and other working conditions. The frame structure, as the main load-bearing component of sanitation vehicles, has a common problem of insufficient strength in practical applications. Establish a three-dimensional model and finite element model of the frame structure of a certain type of electric tricycle. Determine the application positions of external forces and constraints on structures under different load materials. Static strength simulation analysis was conducted on structures made of three materials: tree leaves, paper scraps, sludge, sewage, and stone metal. Stick strain gauges in the high stress area of the frame for testing. The error between the simulation analysis results and the experimental results is less than 6%, which verifies the accuracy of the simulation analysis results. Based on the measured stress results, the fatigue strength safety assessment of the frame structure was carried out using the Goodman fatigue limit line diagram. The research results indicate that the frame structure design of this model of electric three wheeled sanitation vehicle meets the requirements of static strength and fatigue strength. The research results and conclusions of this article provide a reference for the structural design and safety evaluation of electric tricycle frames.
