Simulation of Machining Deformation and Optimization of Process Parameters for Thin-walled Parts based on CAM Software

  • Thin-walled parts are prone to deformation due to their low rigidity during processing, which affects accuracy and quality. This article utilizes CAM software to simulate and analyze the deformation of thin-walled parts during processing, and optimizes process parameters. Firstly, the basic principles of deformation are discussed to clarify the mechanism of its occurrence. Then, a simulation platform is built, a geometric model of the thin-walled part is established, the processing path planning is set, and the deformation results are extracted. Based on the simulation results, the influencing factors of process parameters are determined, a test plan is designed, an optimization model is constructed, and the optimal parameters are solved. By comparing the data before and after optimization through simulation, the sensitivity law of parameters and the improvement effect on processing quality are analyzed.
