Case Analysis of Lightweight Design of Machine Base Based on CATIA

Abstract
The machine base is an important basic component of the entire machine. Using CATIA software, perform finite element structural analysis on the bolt connected machine base assembly (load 4.6 MPa) and finite element analysis on the machine base parts (load 6.8 MPa), the maximum stress and displacement obtained in both cases are consistent; further lightweight design of the machine base components. Result: The bolt connected machine base assembly has lower load-bearing capacity compared to the machine base component body (replacing the welded surface connection assembly); The lightweight design of the machine base components has reduced the weight by 8.54% compared to before, saving material costs.
