Research on the Application of Virtual Assembly Technology in Lean Manufacturing of Spherical Storage Tanks

  • Issues such as forming errors of spherical shell plates, on-site installation adjustments, and control of welding deformation exist during the manufacturing process of spherical storageks. From the perspective of lean manufacturing, this paper establishes a framework for the virtual assembly process of spherical storage tanks. Based on laser scanning inspection, reverse modeling, and simulation technology, it zes the twin verification of physical objects and digital models across stages including physical data acquisition, virtual analysis, welding simulation, and construction guidance, providing a full-process quantitative analysis for spherical storage tank producranging from shell plate forming inspection to on-site installation. By improving shell plate forming quality, shortening assembly duration, and reducing rework costs, it demonstrates the application value of virty technology in the lean manufacturing of spherical storage tanks.
