Strength Analysis of the Structural Connection Bolts between Platform Screen Doors and Civil Engineering Structures
-
Abstract
Platform Screen Doors (PSD) are critical safety facilities in rail transit systems. Their primary function is to provide physical separation between the track zone and the public zone, thereby ensuring passenger safety during waiting periods and maintaining a clean station environment. Consequently, the reliability of the connection points between the PSD system and the civil engineering structure is of paramount importance. This paper takes a typical project as a case study to systematically elaborate on the configuration and mechanical load-transfer mechanism of the structural anchor bolts connecting the PSD to the civil structure. By comprehensively considering the combined effects of various loads—including wind pressure, train piston effect, crowd loading, and the system's self-weight—a detailed strength calculation and mechanical analysis were conducted separately for the critical connection bolts at the top and bottom of the PSD.The research findings aim to provide a theoretical basis and engineering reference for the design, installation, and inspection of Platform Screen Doors.
