The Design of Automated Guided Vehicle for Coiled Material Transportation

  • At present, coiled material transportation is widely used in clothing, papermaking, textile, medical treatment, new energy and other industries. The traditional method of coil handling mainly relies on manual operation of simple equipment, which has slow transport speed, high labor intensity, and low working efficiency. This paper addresses technical challenges in coil material handling by proposing an AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) design solution for coil transportation. It identifies specific application scenarios and design requirements, while discussing the structural and dynamic analysis of AGVs for heavy-duty coil handling. This AGV type enables automated loading and transportation of coils to storage warehouses or production equipment. The design enhances material handling efficiency, reduces manual labor intensity, and lowers labor costs.
