Structural Design and Component Check of Clamping Device

  • Spinach is a common vegetable on people’s dining tables, and the degree of mechanization in its harvesting process has an important impact on production efficiency. Currently, spinach harvesters on the market generally adopt an unordered harvesting method, which has problems such as poor clamping stability and low efficiency in the subsequent bundling process. To this end, this study designed a “herringbone” spinach clamping and conveying device. The overall structure of this device uses symmetrical double-row synchronous belts to clamp and pull out the spinach. Through the kinematic and dynamic analysis of the clamping and conveying operation, the clamping and conveying speed of the conveyor belt is 1.1 m/s. When the inclination angle of the clamping and conveying device is 22° and the clamping height is 26.22 cm from the ground, the spinach plants can be smoothly pulled up and effectively clamped.
