Active Vibration Suppression of the Sting Used in High-Speed Wind Tunnel Tests for Amphibious Aircraft

  • To mitigate the coupled vibration of the sting used in high-speed wind tunnel test for amphibious aircraft, an active vibration suppression system based on the BP neural network self-tuning algorithm was designed. A hardware platform for the sting vibration damping was built. The initial control coefficients were determined through system identification. The vibration control program utilizing the BP self-tuning algorithm was developed using LabVIEW software. The damping effectiveness was validated via impact tests. Experimental results demonstrate that the self-tuning control algorithm can reduce the oscillation time by nearly 95%, outperforming the classical PD algorithm. This method effectively achieves real-time control of detrimental vibrations of the sting used in wind tunnel.
