Design and Application Analysis of Remote Electro-Hydraulic Control System for Mine Drilling Rig

  • To address the problems of high personnel density, high safety risks, and low drilling efficiency associated with the operation of mine drilling rigs in close proximity, a remote electro-hydraulic control system based on electro-hydraulic proportional control was designed. The system adopts a three-level architecture of “surface command center – underground control unit – hydraulic actuation system”, integrating an S7-300 PLC, electro-hydraulic proportional valves, Wi-Fi/4G redundant communication, and a PID control algorithm to achieve remote control and real-time parameter monitoring of the drilling rig. Field application results show that the system reduces underground personnel by 2–3 persons per shift, increases drilling efficiency by 15%, saves approximately 450,000 CNY in annual labor costs, reduces the failure rate by 20%, and achieves a communication success rate of ≥99.9%, significantly improving the safety and automation level of drilling rig operations.
