Research and Development of ZJ40DBT Fast Moving Trailer-Mounted Desert Rig

Traditional trailer-mounted drilling rigs suffer from numerous shortcomings, such as a large number of modules, long disassembly, assembly and transportation time, and a low level of automation. In view of the open desert terrain in the Middle East, this paper developed a highly modular-integrated ZJ40DBT desert rapid-moving and quick-installation integrated trailer drilling rig. Combined with the application trend of automated equipment, an integrated driller control system was developed, which significantly improved the overall safety and operating efficiency of the rig. According to the timeliness requirements of rig relocation in the Middle East, a comprehensive optimization study was carried out on the frame structure, axles, tires and tractor selection. Finite element analysis software was used to conduct strength checks on key load-bearing components of the rig, and the calculation results met both design and service requirements.
