Design and Development of a Modular Stepping Transportation System for Oil Rig Modules
-
Abstract
The well positions of cluster well drilling rigs and artificial island drilling rigs on site are usually irregularly arranged. The movement of drilling rigs between wellheads greatly affects the on-site oil and gas extraction efficiency and extraction cost. To achieve the free movement of drilling rigs between different wellheads, a modular step-by-step transportation system for oil drilling rigs has been developed. This system adopts an eight-point layout for large drilling rigs and a four-point layout for medium and small drilling rigs. The system can realize the automatic translation of drilling rigs in any direction and in-place rotation, and the translation process is monitored in real time, with automatic compensation for movement errors. The system includes three control modes: operation console, wireless remote control, and touch screen. There are mutual locks of authority among these modes to meet the control requirements under different working conditions. Through load calculation and deviation calculation, it further ensures that the transportation system meets the translation requirements of drilling rigs, and provide a reference basis for the design of similar products in the future.
